Eastern Lightning|A Faith That Cannot Be Imprisoned

Cao Liming is a Christian from China’s Henan Province who used to be a news reporter at a provincial television station. He accepted the kingdom gospel in 2008. In the winter of 2012, the CCP launched another large-scale operation to arrest and persecute Christians, and unfortunately, Cao Liming was one of those arrested while he was preaching the gospel. After seven months of illegal detention, he was given a three-year sentence and transferred to the Henan No. 1 Prison to serve his time. While in prison, he was forced to do hard labor like a slave, he was strictly monitored and controlled, and brutally tortured. How did he make it through his long, dark days of imprisonment? What source of strength guided him to persist in his faith?

On September 19, Fundación Vida-Grupo Ecológico Verde and Foundation for the Improvement of Life, Culture and Society co-hosted a conference titled “Broadening the Impact of Peace” at United Nations Office at Geneva, in order to celebrate International Day of Peace. The One Who Holds Sovereignty Over Everything Acclaimed at US and EU Film Festivals

In August 2019, The Church of Almighty God’s large-scale choral documentary, The One Who Holds Sovereignty Over Everything was nominated or awarded at the United States’ Great Lakes Christian Film Festival, Spain’s Madrid International Film Festival, and Belgium’s West Europe International Film Festival. Some hosts, directors, and audience members were full of praise for the film after its screenings.
